My Humble Beginnings
My name is Joyce B. Whaley. I born and raised on the low end of Chicago, IL., 43rd right off of Princeton to be exact. I realized by the age of 13 that I was gifted with the ability of see, discern matters with great clarity, a little further than most. I have been coaching and assisting family and friends to make sense out of uncertainty and chaotic situations for years. So I decided to become certified in the field I enjoy the most, helping others.
A Little More About Me
My favorite all-time music group is Earth, Wind & Fire. My innate abilities is in the arts, writing and singing. In 1993 and 1994, I won the Coca Cola Bottling Company’s “Someone You Should Know” from the church i was attending. I auditioned for America’s Got Talent in 2010 and then The Voice in 2011. I advanced to the last stages in both competitions and lost both times to some fierce competition before it hit the airways. I am also an Author of several books, which you can find on Amazon.com and Barnes and Noble.
I am a mother of three adult children; all are “millennial's”, however, I claim four (you know how mothers do). And I have two adorable grandchildren, however, I claim 4 (you know how Grammy’s do).
My passion is The Christ and that passion leads to the advancement and empowerment of all people. I am a helper by nature. My children often call me “Harriett Tubman”.
I’ve been in the Banking Industry for over 38 years, and I’ve been a Christian for over 35 years. I’ve been a lot places in life; some pleasant and some not so favorable. However, through each experience, I’ve learned some valuable things. The best lesson I’ve learned is how to transmute sour lemons into sweet pink lemonade.
